The Alabama
Governor’s Mansion on South Perry St., Montgomery, was originally built for Gen.
Robert F. Ligon, Jr. in 1908 and purchased by the State of Alabama in 1950 for
use by the Governor. It was painted by Mrs. Campbell in 1961 and was voted most popular by the viewers at the South Alabama Fair art exhibit. The painting was also included in the Alabama Art Pavilion of the New York World’s Fair in 1964.
The print makes a wonderful addition to any
mantle or room. The
